D.F.C. (Det Ferøsche Compagnie) Is a performance group from the Faroe Islands. I have been helping out with set design and graphic solutions in and around the set. “Operation Valentine” was the name of the british invasion of the Faroe Islands during the second world war. This was a devised piece - a montage of these historical happenings based on research and talks we made throughout one year. The approach is always minimalistic with only a few elements being used in various ways in the set. For Operation Valentine it was a tarpaulin and wool which were the key elements. The wool created images of islands, sheep, clouds, hay, smoke from attacks to name a few.
